TWLOHA

To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.

To Write Love On Her Arms Day is a day where anyone can write the words love on their arms, to support those who are fighting against depression and those who are trying to recover. On this day, just write love on your arms, and show it off, other people will ask why you have love written on your arms, and you tell them you are supporting to write love on her arms day, and how its benefiting a non profit organization helping stop depression, and make love the movement ♥

We are only asked to love, to offer hope to the many hopeless. We don't get to choose all the endings, but we are asked to play the rescuers. We won't solve all mysteries and our hearts will certainly break in such a vulnerable life, but it is the best way. We were made to be lovers bold in broken places, pouring ourselves out again and again until we're called home.
♥ Love ♥

“We are called to hold our hands against the wounds of a Broken World, to stop the bleeding" TWLOHA

Much Love,
~Heidi

Where has the time gone?

Asia 6th Birthday

Our conversation this morning...

"Happy Birthday sweetie!"

(her eyes light up and she has the biggest smile on her face)

"am I 6 Right now?"

"yes baby, Right now!"

(her mouth drops open and her eyes get big)

"Oh... my... Good....ness.. (she pauses as she takes it all in)....I can't believe it. "

"me either sweetie... your growing up on me."

(she smiles wide and says with pride....)

"I know.. cause I'm 6 "

____________________________________________________________________

Yes you are sweetie... and I can't believe it either...our sweet baby girl is 6 today...who pushed the fast forward button?

God knew so well what we needed when He gave you to us.. You are silly, dramatic, talkative, confident, beautiful....and the sweetest/nicest kid on the block. I just want to bottle up your soul...is that possible?

There are days that I loose myself in your eyes and wonder how you became the person you are today.. you are everything I was not at your age...you are unique...uniquely, you. =)

As we were out picking up your Birthday cake today... you, as always, asked me to put on your song.. it's funny, but your new favorites right now are the first two songs off of Seals new soul CD...."A change is gonna come" and "I can't stand the rain" =) You make my heart fill with such joy when I look in the rear view mirrow and see you swaying and singing along...and might I add, not quietly... lol...you give it everything you've got..you put all your heart and soul into it. =)

I tear up and smile at your freedom, your innocence, your honesty. You are amazing...don't ever let anyone tell you differently. We love you baby...Happy birthday!

Forever & ever yours...Mommy & Daddy =)

Dream...

Tomorrow is going to be a historical day...An amazing moment that my family will have the honor to witness... no, I did not vote for Obama but that does not mean that I don't understand and recognize the significance of these days.. Martin Luther King Jrs "Dream" is slowly coming true...The wall is being torn down.

O Lord, God of Heaven...Let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying... I'd like to share with you this letter from Max Lucado....

Dear Friends,

I am a pastor, not a politician, so I can only speculate as to what awaits President-elect Barack Obama. The long-lasting benefits of good choices…the fearful consequences of poor ones…complicated social issues and relentless international problems.

He needs our prayers. And it’s our privilege to pray for him. The Bible says: Pray for rulers and for all who have authority so that we can have quiet and peaceful lives full of worship and respect for God. (1 Timothy 2:2)

For that reason, I invite you to set aside a few minutes on Inauguration Day, Tuesday, January 20, and ask God to bless Barack Obama and his family. Join me and urge as many people as possible to speak to God on behalf on our incoming president.

Good things happen when people pray.

A few years ago I attended a meeting in the White House. While standing in the State Dining Room, I noticed some words engraved on the fireplace: a message from John Adams to his wife Abigail. “I pray heaven to bestow the best of blessings on this house and all that shall hereafter inhabit it. May none but honest and wise men ever rule under this roof.”

Here’s hoping that same prayer is offered and answered again.

Warmly,
Max Lucado

Smell that.....?

No, not the stench of an unshowered mother of 4 or the pile of dirty laundry the size of Mt Everest.. The other more pleasant smell, the smell of everyone all around baking pies, cooking turkeys preparing for this day of Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for... I need nothing...as the world screams "More" I can say I need "Nothing"... I have all that I need.. I have an amazing husband who loves me unconditionally, who makes me feel like the world revolves around me. I have 4 beautiful girls who mean the world to me, who brighten my days. I have amazing friends who see more in me then I do myself. I have a sister who loves me more then I deserve. I have a God who walks before me, who's forgiven me, healed me, cried with me, laughed with me.. I have all that I need.. I need "nothing." =)

Thank you Lord!

CAT DIARY

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed
hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the
rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to
keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of
escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.
Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their
feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it
clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made
condescending comments about what a "Good little hunter" I am. Bastards!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was
placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However,
I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my
confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this
means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my
tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try
this again tomorrow - but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches.
The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and
seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The
bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the
guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My
captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he
is safe.

For now . . .

The Man Flu....

I'm dedicating this video to My Big Daddy ;)... and any other man out there that may be suffering from a Man Cold..
Just imagine Jeff with the accent and this is soooo him when he's sick. lol...
Love ya baby!
